Reframe History is Virtual African American History Museum that is dedicated to keeping stories alive through archiving the past, recording the present, and advocating for the future.

We build virtual exhibitions and share tools to help individuals and organizations document past and present history. Through this, we encourage people to ask fundamental questions about our society so that all stories are considered equal in the future.

Throughout history, storytelling has been an integral component of several cultures and societies worldwide. Unfortunately, some stories, especially those forcing the greater society to confront their pitfalls, have been modified, inaccurately retold, eliminated, or ignored completely. We are keeping these stories alive to ensure that we are in control of our own narrative. Collectively, we are documenting, keeping, and retelling these stories not just for us, but for future generations to come. The unfiltered and unmodified lived experiences of African American people and our truths needs to be heard.

Our collection is made up of everyday experiences and items from people just like you. Each person, object, and place has a story so we are using our platform to share them.
